Why do I get motion sickness during a body massage?

When you hear about people suffering from motion sickness, it usually happens in a car or boat. Motion sickness during a body massage may not seem like a real problem, but it does indeed cause some symptoms. I have been using virtual reality for 10 years and, fortunately, it has never made me sick. However, many people complain of nausea even after getting the best body massage.

For some users, it can be very uncomfortable and even a little painful depending on your sensitivity. Some people experience motion sickness the first time and then never get it again. For others, it is a permanent problem and they eventually move away from technology. Read on for some tips and tricks on how to deal with it to enjoy your body massage more.

Simply put, motion sickness is nausea caused by movement. It is normal to experience motion sickness while on a boat. Have you ever set foot on the high seas? Or spread your arms on the bow of a cruise ship and pretend to be Jack and Rose? The fairy tale ends here because instead of a romantic kiss, you'll be sending your glob flying over the railing and into unknown depths.

But with a body massage, it's a bit different: how can you get motion sickness if you're not moving? Well, in virtual reality, it happens because there's a mismatch between your visual system (your eyes) and your vestibular system (the sensory system that controls balance and spatial orientation). Suddenly, your incredibly intelligent and highly functional brain gets confused.

When you put on the headset, your visual system tells you that you're moving (especially if you're playing a 6DoF game). And your vestibular system tells you that you're completely still. When this happens, your brain tries to restore a sense of stability, which results in dizziness. This twist can cause nausea, mild to severe headaches, and in extreme cases, vomiting.

Minimize  Motion Sickness with a Body Massage

For those unfamiliar with virtual reality,  this sounds like a potentially scary experience. However, in most cases,  motion sickness from a body massage can be easily avoided with a few simple steps. If you continue to feel uncomfortable having sex with your favorite star, you should consider getting an eye exam. This will help rule out any underlying issues that may be affecting you.

Make sure your HMD is set up correctly.

Motion sickness during a body massage can simply be caused by wearing the headset incorrectly. Different headsets fit differently, and most headsets have multiple strap options to choose from. You need to make sure the headset is properly seated on your head and that you can see the display. Incorrect positioning can cause eye strain and lead to headaches.

Avoid performance issues in BODY MASSAGE.

Low refresh rates are the main cause of motion sickness when using virtual reality. Second, check your ping - if it's too high, it can cause buffering issues. Third, choose the best quality content, at least 4K or higher. Finally, if what you're watching is constantly glitching, walk away and put away your HMD.

Practice Makes Perfect

This is probably the most cliché thing ever, but practice makes perfect. Consider doing small body massages at short intervals every day to prepare your brain (and other parts)  for longer sessions. BODY MASSAGE Bangers creates full-length 8K videos if you need some sexy practice. With moderate and consistent use, your body will eventually adapt and you'll avoid body massage sickness.
